ATV Rental in Paros: An Offbeat + Fun Way to Explore
We ALWAYS rent our own vehicle in Paros, but choosing the right vehicle makes all the difference!
After renting more scooters than we can count throughout our travels, we ended up trying an ATV rental in Santorini this year and LOVED the experience.
So, we totally understand why ATV rentals in Paros (and UTV Buggies) are becoming the go-to option for couples and first-time visitors!
You’ll have the freedom to cruise between beach towns, come and go as you please, park anywhere, and many ATVs now come with luggage racks, storage, and more power than scooters for Paros’ hillside.
This guide breaks down everything you need to know about renting in Paros, including why they’re worth it, how much they cost, where to book, and what to watch out for when choosing a rental. We’ll also walk through legal requirements, safety tips, and compare the top-rated agencies around the island!

Just Wanna Know Where We Rent ATVs in Paros?
No matter where we go in Greece, we’ve always used this site to find the best deals on an ATV Rental in Paros. They compare the prices and ATVs available from all agencies across the island so that you can make sure you’re getting the best deal.
In Paros, we’ve also had a particularly great experience using Paros Summer Travellers in Naoussa!
Why We Rented an ATV in Paros?
Paros isn’t very big, but everything worth seeing is spread out across the island.
So, while you CAN get a taxi anywhere you need to go, and public buses are available between all of the main port cities, inland mountain villages, and most beaches.
We rent our own transportation EVERY SINGLE TIME. It’s always worth it.
For years, though, we only rented cars and scooters in Paros.

But the last time we were in Greece, we rented an ATV and absolutely loved it!
Unlike scooters, which can become uncomfortable over longer distances (especially for passengers), ATVs offer a more stable and cushioned ride, making them ideal for couples planning to spend full days exploring. Most models also come with rear racks that can hold small suitcases or backpacks, allowing you to pick one up at the port and head straight to your hotel without needing a transfer.
Quads/ATVs are also incredibly convenient in tight spaces. With Paros’s main villages having super limited parking, ATVs can squeeze in where cars can’t.
No circling the block in Parikia or Naoussa looking for a space. And while they’re not quite as fast as a full-sized car, you can still get anywhere in under 30 minutes.
You’ll have time to soak in the views, stop for beach breaks, and detour on a whim. It’s not just about function. Riding an ATV is so much fun!
How Much Does it Cost?
ATV rentals are a great-value way to explore the island, especially if you only have a few days in Paros.
Plus, if you book early or visit outside the peak summer window, it’s not terribly expensive.
Prices start around €30 per day in the low season for basic models and climb to about €60-70 per day in July and August.
The price also depends on the Quad bike’s engine size. The good thing is that you don’t need a high-powered ATV in Paros (although that’s a different story in Naxos). Paros is hilly, but there aren’t legit mountains with incredibly steep roads.
For 99% of people, a basic quad with an engine size of 170cc – 300cc is more than enough.
If you’re carrying a passenger or want a bit more comfort, a 400cc–450cc model can give you that extra bit of stability without being overkill, but it’s not totally necessary.
For families or travelers seeking a more car-like experience, buggies offer a great alternative to ATVs. They offer extra seating, added protection with roll bars, and a more comfortable driving experience, especially if you’re not used to handling a quad bike.
Most rental companies include VAT, helmets, unlimited kilometers, and third-party insurance in their base rates. Many also offer free delivery to hotels in Parikia or Naoussa.

Where to Book Your ATV in Paros
Most ATV rental agency offices in Paros are located in the main hubs — Parikia (the port town) and Naoussa (the island’s chic north-side village). You’ll find rows of rental shops along the port road in Parikia and scattered throughout Naoussa’s outer edges.
But don’t expect to see rental counters at the airport. Instead, you’ll need to arrange pickup or delivery in advance.
Pre-booking online is your best bet.
Not only does it guarantee you get a bike, but many companies also offer online discounts (10–15% off). Booking in advance allows you to request a specific engine size or model and arrange to pick up your ATV directly at your hotel, ferry terminal, or rental property.

How to Choose the Right ATV or Buggy
When it comes to picking the right ATV in Paros, simpler is better. Most travelers don’t need anything more powerful than a 170–300 cc quad.
These models are light, nimble, affordable, and have plenty of power if you’re hopping between Naoussa, Parikia, the beaches along the west coast (our favorites are Kalogeros and Golden Beach), and maybe an inland village like Lefkes.
If you’re traveling with two people and want a bit more comfort, a 400–450 cc model provides a smoother ride and slightly more power on hills, without paying for unnecessary performance.
Here’s how to choose based on your travel style:
- For couples, opt for an ATV with a 170–300 cc engine. It’s affordable, maneuverable, and a lot of fun.
- For first-time riders: Consider a slightly larger quad (400–450 cc) for added stability.
- For families or extra comfort: Choose a buggy. Worth it for longer rides or older passengers.
- For solo travelers: A small ATV is more than enough.
When it comes to the brand names, we’ve heard great things about CForce and Kymco. But unless you have a ton of experience, you probably won’t notice any difference.

Always Inspect the Vehicle Before You Leave
Before you drive off, ask if you can give your ATV a quick test drive and check that everything is working properly.
- Tires: Make sure they’re fully inflated and not too worn down.
- Brakes and lights: Test everything BEFORE you leave. Don’t assume it’s working.
- Locks on the Storage box: Useful if you’re carrying bags or beach gear.
- Helmets: Ensure you have two if you have a passenger. Also, try to get one with a visor — if not, you’ll need sunglasses to keep the dust and dirt out of your eyes.
If anything feels off, ask for a different vehicle or a quick tune-up.
Also, we always take a video of the ENTIRE bike to ensure you aren’t responsible for any pre-existing damage to the bike (this is a pretty common scam).
Legal Requirements and Safety Rules
Renting an ATV in Greece comes with specific rules, and Paros is no exception. Before you pick up the keys, make sure you’re fully covered, legally and safely.
Legal Requirements
To rent and drive an ATV or buggy in Paros, you must have a valid category-B car license (not a motorcycle license) and have held a driver’s license for at least one year.
If you’re visiting from outside the EU, you’ll also need to carry an International Driving Permit (IDP) in addition to your home license.
Some agencies will turn you away without it, even if you’ve booked online.
You can get one from you’re local Automobile Association (AAA in the U.S.), or you can get one online in less than 10 minutes.
Helmets are mandatory. Fines for riding without one can reach €350, and some reports say police can suspend your license for up to three months. This applies to both drivers and passengers. In fact, some petrol stations will refuse to serve you for driving without a helmet.

Minimum Age
Most rental companies require drivers to be at least 23 years old.
Some may allow younger drivers for smaller quads (50–150cc), but after an attempted ban of ATVs under 125cc (which was repealed shortly afterwards), it isn’t easy to find anything under 150cc these days.
Insurance and Liability
Most rentals include basic third-party liability insurance, which covers damage to others but not your own vehicle. Some agencies offer Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) or Super CDW, which reduce your deductible in case of an accident, but they don’t cover reckless driving or alcohol-related incidents.
Additionally, if you ride off-road or on the beach, it may void your insurance completely with the rental agency and damage the protected areas of the bike.
Check your travel insurance fine print carefully. Many basic policies exclude ATV-related incidents.
For example, we use Safety Wing’s Nomad Insurance when we travel, and you have to get the ‘adventure sports’ add-on if you want it to cover ATV incidents.
