7 Best Boat Tours in Paros (2026)
Paros is already one of the most beautiful Greek islands, but trust us when we say it’s even better from the water.
On our most recent trip, we spent a whole day cruising around Paros, Antiparos, and Despotiko on a full-day boat tour, and it was the highlight of our time here. We made five different stops, snorkeled at the Blue Lagoon, swam offshore at Despotiko, explored sea caves, went cliff jumping, and spent time relaxing on a secluded beach. Not to mention the buffet lunch was everything we could have asked for.
Before booking our boat tour in Paros, we did extensive research and personally spoke with nearly every boat tour operator on the island. So whether you’re looking for a full-day cruise, a romantic sunset sail, a catamaran tour, or a luxury private charter, we’re confident this guide will help you find the right one.
Below, we break down the 7 best boat tours from Paros, including what type of traveler each one is best for, what’s included, and how to book.
What to Know Before Booking a Boat Tour in Paros

When Do Boat Tours Run in Paros?
Boat tours in Paros run from May through October, with July and August offering the warmest water and the most frequent departures. However, these peak months also bring the largest crowds. If you prefer fewer people and calmer seas, June or September is the sweet spot.
That said, tours are always weather-dependent. A day or two of rain or strong winds can lead to cancellations, delays, or adjusted itineraries.

What Types of Boats Are Available?
Most boat tours in Paros follow similar routes, so the biggest difference is often the type of boat you choose.
Traditional Caique (Wooden Boats): Charming boats ideal for group cruises. This is the most common type you’ll see in Paros and the style we did our full-day tour on.
Catamarans: Spacious boats that offer a higher-end, more romantic experience. Especially great for sunset sails. Most catamaran tours include gourmet meals, netted loungers, and premium service.
RIB Boats (Rigid Inflatable Boats): Fast, maneuverable, and best for small groups who want to visit more swim spots in less time.
Private vs. Semi-Private vs. Shared Tours
There are three types of tours available in Paros, and the right one depends on your budget and group size.
Shared tours are the most affordable. Expect larger groups of 20 to 30 people and a set itinerary. Semi-private tours are mid-range pricing with smaller groups of usually 10 to 15 people, better food, and a more relaxed feel. Private tours are just your group, great for families, couples, or special events, and you’ll usually have more flexibility with timing and stops.

Where Will Your Boat Tour Take You?
Almost every top-rated boat tour from Paros visits a mix of the same key spots. Captains typically adjust the itinerary based on sea conditions to keep the ride safe and enjoyable.
Blue Lagoon: The famous turquoise swimming spot between Paros and Antiparos. Not a lot of fish to see, but the water is calm and perfect for swimming, floating, or snorkeling.
Despotiko: Quiet beaches, snorkeling stops, and archaeological ruins. The Temple of Apollo is not here — for some reason a lot of people assume that it is, but it’s actually on Naxos.
Sea Caves: The shore of Antiparos is full of sea caves to swim through and cliff jump from.
Faneromeni Beach: A secluded cove on the southeast shore of Antiparos, with silver-white sand and calm waters.

How Do the Meltemi Winds Affect Boat Tours?
The Meltemi winds are strong, dry northern winds that blow across the Cyclades, usually in July and August. When they’re strong, the sea gets really rough and boat tours can be canceled or delayed.
We still highly encourage you to plan a boat day, but you need to be flexible. Avoid booking something on your last day in Paros, and ask about cancellation policies in advance. If it’s windy in the morning, the wind probably won’t die down later. Check with your boat operator the day before, and if you get seasick easily, bring motion sickness meds.

Paros Boat Trips runs the best full-day boat tour from Paros for travelers who want multiple swim stops, great food, and a traditional caique experience. This is the tour we took, and it was easily the highlight of our trip.
When we were looking at boat tours from Paros, we really wanted a full-day tour with multiple stops and ended up choosing Paros Boat Trips — and what a great choice!
We did their flagship tour, which took us to FIVE different stops across Antiparos & Despotiko! The whole trip was packed with adventure.

We started off by sailing to Blue Lagoon, which you really have to see to believe.
The water is an unreal shade of turquoise, and there are tons of fish, underwater rock formations, and sea urchins to see if you want to go snorkeling!
There were a lot of boats in the lagoon, but I wouldn’t have known because I spent the entire time exploring under the surface!

The second stop was just around the south side of Antiparos, where we docked offshore of Despotiko and had a great view of the local goats and the island’s famous archaeological site from the water. The highlight here was that the captain started fishing with Sarah and helped her pull in a fish by hand!
The 3rd stop was at Epitafios Sea Cave & Beach. The beach was rocky, but the cave was huge, and it was an incredible spot to swim again!
Then we were taken to the cliff-jumping spot. It was right around the corner from Epitafios Beach, and — if you wanted to — you could climb up the side of the cliff and jump from about 8-10 meters! Climbing up was really nerve-racking at first, and the jump definitely got our heart pounding, but we ended up watching over 20 people jump (there was another boat anchored next to us). So, while it did spook me a bit, it’s not something reserved JUST for ultra-thrill seekers!
Here, we were served a Mediterranean buffet, featuring Greek Salad, Pesto Pasta, Shrimp Pasta, fruit, and bread with Tzatziki.

The final stop on our way back was at Paralia Sostis, one of the best beaches in Antiparos. We anchored, jumped out, and swam to shore to spend the final hour of the tour lounging on the beach!
Ultimately, this was the ideal boat tour if you want to spend a full day on the water and get a full picture of the islands surrounding Paros!
If you’re short on time, you can also opt for Paros Boat Trips’ other tours:
- Half-day tour to Blue Lagoon (Best for families with small children)
- Pirate Cave + Blue Lagoon Tour
- Sunset Cruise (most romantic option)

Like most agencies, their flagship route takes you from Aliki Port to crystal-clear Blue Lagoon, the dramatic sea caves and cliffs of Antiparos, Faneromeni Beach, and the ruins of Despotiko. But leaving from Aliki does give them a little bit more time on the water than those departing from Parikia or Pounta.

More Tips + What to Bring
Whether you’re hopping on a traditional caïque or a luxury catamaran, a little preparation goes a long way toward making your Paros boat tour as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Here are our best insider tips:
- Book early for high season (June–August): Many of the best cruises fill up weeks in advance, and there are exceptionally private and semi-private options.
- Ask about weather cancellations: Wind is a real factor in the Cyclades. Most operators will adjust itineraries or cancel with a refund if the seas are rough.
- Confirm what’s included: Some tours include towels, snorkeling gear, drinks, and transfers — others don’t.
- Don’t plan more activities afterwards: If you’re doing a full-day cruise, plan to keep the rest of your evening free — a day at sea can take it out of you.

What to Bring
Most cruises provide snorkeling gear, water, and snacks, but you’ll want to bring:
- Swimsuit & Quick-dry Towel — even if some tours include one, it’s good to have your own)
- Reef-Safe Sunscreen
- Sunglasses and a Hat
- Water Shoes or water-resistant sandals
- Quality Dry Bag
- Light Jacket or Cover-up
- Cash — You’ll usually save money by paying in cash on Paros, and it’s nice to tip the crew if they provide an excellent experience for you!
Paros is one of the most beautiful islands in the Cyclades, but to get a full experience of the islands, you really need to get out on the water at least once.

Frequently Asked Questions About Boat Tours in Paros
How much does a boat tour in Paros cost?
Boat tour prices in Paros range from around 40 to 60 euros per person for a shared full-day cruise, up to 150+ euros per person for semi-private catamaran tours. Private charters vary widely depending on the boat and group size, but expect to pay anywhere from 500 to 1,500+ euros for the full boat. Budget-friendly half-day options start around 30 to 45 euros per person.
Can you take a boat from Paros to Antiparos?
Yes, and nearly every boat tour from Paros includes stops around Antiparos as part of the itinerary. The Blue Lagoon, sea caves, and Faneromeni Beach are all located along the Antiparos coastline. If you just want to get to Antiparos town on your own, there’s also a quick 7-minute ferry from Pounta Port that runs frequently throughout the day.
Is a full-day or half-day boat tour better in Paros?
A full-day tour is worth it if you want the complete experience with multiple swim stops, lunch on board, and time at places like Despotiko and the Blue Lagoon. A half-day tour works well if you’re short on time, traveling with small children, or just want a taste of the water without committing a whole day. We did the full day and wouldn’t change a thing.
Do you need to book boat tours in Paros in advance?
In peak season (July and August), yes. The best tours fill up weeks in advance, especially semi-private and private options. If you’re visiting in June or September, you’ll have more flexibility, but we still recommend booking a few days ahead to lock in your preferred date. Weather cancellations can shuffle schedules, so earlier is always better.
What is the Blue Lagoon near Paros?
The Blue Lagoon is the stretch of shallow, turquoise water between the small islands of Panteronisi, sitting between Paros and Antiparos. It’s the most popular swimming stop on nearly every Paros boat tour and is only accessible by boat. The water is calm, crystal clear, and perfect for floating or snorkeling, though don’t expect a ton of marine life. It’s more about the color of the water than the underwater scenery.
